Dr Zonghan XieQualificationsPhD. (UNSW) 2004, BEng (NEU, China) 1990 InformationDr Zonghan Xie is a Senior Lecturer in Materials Science and Engineering. His research is focused on the microstructure and mechanical property relationships of engineering and biological materials, particularly at the micron-/nanoscales. In his work, Zonghan has combined advanced mechanical testing and modelling techniques with state-of-the-art electron microscopes to discover critical parameters that regulate mechanical behaviours of a wide range of materials including surface coatings. Zonghan had worked as a materials testing engineer and also taken postdoctoral training at UNSW, USyd and Los Alamos National Laboratory before joining ECU.
