Applications are invited for an Edith Cowan University Scholarship of $25,000 per annum to carry out research as part of a Master of Science (Mathematics and Planning) degree on the following project:
The Use of Geostatistical Simulation in Mine Planning.
This 12-18 month project involves an investigation into the use of geostatistical simulation in the setting of mine planning schedules, with application to an iron ore deposit in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Applicants should have a degree in mining engineering or an honours degree in geology, with units in mathematics and/or statistics.
