Emirates Group Security Professional Development Opportunity

The School of Engineering, Security Science, is pleased to announce an outstanding opportunity for those students studying Security Science at ECU – a funded professional development placement with one of the world’s top airlines and most highly regarded aviation security operations – Emirates Airlines, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Emirates Group Security, is offering a six week international practicum placement in the aviation industry based in Dubai (UAE), for two (2) students to undertake real work experience working on a project defined by Emirates and the Security Science department. This will included all airfares, visas and accommodation.

This placement is an outstanding opportunity and has an estimated value of A$70,000.

The placement will take place in the second Semester and will fulfil the requirements necessary to allow credit to be given for the period spent abroad. Whilst on the overseas placement, students will undertake a relevant security related project to be presented to Emirates and to ECU upon their return.
Selection is based on students that have achieved high results in all their units, completed their first year and are considered capable of representing ECU in the international security environment.

Initial applications are invited from suitable candidates that meet these criteria and should be lodged with Bill Bailey, School of Engineering, e-mail:  b.bailey@ecu.edu.au.
