INTRODUCTION
This is a three year course that provides a pathway for students who wish to pursue a career as technologists in the fields of electronics and computer systems. Students who do not meet the mathematics prerequisites to gain entry into the full bachelor of engineering programmes may also use this course as a pathway into these programmes. On successful completion of the first year of this course, including the Introductory Applied Mathematics unit, students may apply for a transfer to one of the full bachelor of engineering courses. If their transfer is approved they will be granted advanced standing for any applicable units they have completed as part of their bachelor of technology studies.
The language of instruction is English and all students are expected to be proficient in both spoken and written English. All assessments will be conducted in English.
COURSE STRUCTURE
The course structure comprises a total of 360 credit points (24 units of study), including a project unit in the final semester of study.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Standard University admission requirements apply.
SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Note: Students who have not completed TEE Applicable Mathematics (or equivalent) will be required to complete a bridging unit during the first year of their studies.
