Aviation - University Aircraft

The University operates three light aircraft for use by students.

VH-ECU is a Cessna 172-RG Cutlass aircraft used for advanced training and touring. This aircraft is available to ECU students for training and private hire. The aircraft has retractable undercarriage, constant speed propeller and is equipped for IFR flight. Students also use it when operating the summer Shark Patrol for the West Australian Government.

The other University aircraft are a Cessna 152 (VH-ECA) and a Diamond DA20-C1 (VH-ECD). The DA20 is the first of a new type in W.A. and brings 2005 technology to flying training.
